PRISM is an NSF funded Math Science
Partnership grant awarded to Dr. Jan Kettlewell, the Associate
Vice Chancellor for P-16 Initiatives, GA Board of Regents.
The ultimate goal of PRISM is to raise expectations and student
achievement in science and mathematics (SM) in P-12 schools.
This goal is to be realized through a complex network of 10
state and regional PRISM strategies which together are meant
to provide stronger SM curricula to all students, increase
and sustain number, quality, and diversity of P-12 SM teachers,
and increase responsiveness of higher education SM faculty
to P-12 education needs. While the state (State PRISM Website)
will take the initiative on curricular and policy changes,
our regional implimentation of PRISM will focus on the following
three strategies...
