School Learning Communities Goals

a. To create community within the group where all participants are equally valued and all participants share ideas and experiences.

b. To determine needs by evaluation of student data and student work samples.

c. To determine, validate and share effective practices in the teaching and learning of science and mathematics.

d. To determine and meet the professional development needs of each teacher in the learning community.

e. To participate in action research projects which arise from community discussions and or from the regional learning community.

f. To use research results to improve the teaching and learning of science and mathematics in all P-16 classrooms.
